Week 1

God and Government
Pastor Matt explores the intersection of faith and politics, urging us to navigate the political climate with hope, humility, and submission to God's sovereignty. Using a two-by-two chart, he categorizes political engagement into four quadrants: Combative, Exhausted, Cynic, and Disciple. Romans 13:1-7 is highlighted to emphasize the importance of submitting to governing authorities and recognizing God's sovereignty. We are encouraged to engage in politics with enthusiasm, respect, and honor, reflecting our faith in all interactions.

Week 2

Template for Engagement
In today's message, Pastor Matt delves into the complex relationship between faith and politics, offering a template for Christians to engage politically while maintaining their witness for Christ. He underscores the Law of Christ, rooted in love, as the foundation for our interactions, especially in politically charged environments. Drawing from Scripture, he emphasizes the importance of bearing one another's burdens and gaining godly wisdom. Pastor Matt also discusses the necessity of engaging in political discussions with humility and love, avoiding division even in disagreement. Practical steps include listening to different perspectives, educating ourselves on various issues, and prioritizing relationships over political views.

Week 3

God Abuse
Discover the profound lessons from Psalm 23 and the story of the Tower of Babel in this week's reflection on faith and trust. Learn how God's role as our shepherd provides guidance and care, reassuring us that we lack nothing. Explore the significance of overcoming fear and doubt with God's presence, even in life's darkest moments. The story of the Tower of Babel serves as a powerful reminder of the dangers of pride and disobedience, highlighting the importance of humility and obedience to God's commands. This reflection challenges us to trust in God's plan, avoid pagan tendencies, and recognize His ultimate authority.

Week 4

Seeing Clearly
Pastor Matt explores how our cultural lenses shape our understanding of Jesus and His teachings. Addressing the common criticism of hypocrisy among Christians, he delves into why we sometimes fail to live like Jesus in our daily lives. By examining Peter's journey and his misunderstandings of Jesus' words, we learn the importance of context and the role of the Holy Spirit in guiding us to the true meaning of Jesus' mission. This message challenges us to reflect on our beliefs and actions, asking whether we are seeking Jesus' will or merely asking Him to bless our plans.
